Are you an authorised Starlink reseller?
No — and we'll always be upfront about that. Birch Tech is an independent, licensed installer. You buy the Starlink hardware and plan directly from Starlink; we professionally install, configure and support it. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by SpaceX/Starlink.
Do I buy the Starlink kit, or do you supply it?
You order the kit and plan directly from Starlink (some hardware is rental and must be returned if you cancel). We handle everything else — mounting, cabling, weatherproofing, router placement and Wi-Fi. If you'd like, we can guide you through ordering at the right address.
How much does a Starlink installation cost in Sydney?
Our installs start from $199 for a standard single-storey mount, around $349 for tile/two-storey or longer cable runs, and from $549 for elevated/pole or remote-NSW jobs with mesh and failover. Every job is quoted free first — final price depends on roof type, mount and cable run.
How long does the install take?
Most standard residential installs are completed in a few hours. Complex roofs, long cable runs, pole mounts or whole-property Wi-Fi take longer — we'll confirm a time when we quote.
Is Starlink the best option for me, or should I get NBN?
It depends on your address. If you have good NBN/FTTx, that's often cheaper and faster; if you're rural, have poor NBN, or need to connect a shed or farm, Starlink is hard to beat. We give you a straight, vendor-neutral recommendation before you spend anything.
Can you add Wi-Fi mesh or connect a shed/granny flat?
Yes. We do whole-property Wi-Fi mesh and point-to-point links to sheds, studios and granny flats, plus Starlink + 4G/5G failover so you're never offline.
Do you service rural and regional NSW?
Yes — rural and acreage Starlink installs are a core part of what we do, alongside metro Sydney. Remote jobs are quoted with travel included.
What warranty do I get?
We provide a workmanship warranty on our installation. The Starlink hardware itself is covered by Starlink's own warranty terms.
